Ginny Weasley is the youngest child and only daughter of Arthur and Molly Weasley. She is currently attending Hogwarts; she entered in 1992 and was sorted into Gryffindor.

Ginny has a crush on her brother Ron's best friend, Harry. Ginny is also friends with Hermione and sometimes confides in her. Ginny possibly sent Harry a singing Valentine once (at least, we are led to believe it was she, although we don't actually know), much to the amusement of other students, but shortly thereafter Harry saved her life in the Chamber of Secrets and the attraction grew even stronger. Ginny went to the Yule Ball with Neville Longbottom. 

Ginny has vivid red hair and brown eyes.(CS3) She was born c. 1982.
