Wizarding Europe
Albania
It was to the forests of Albania that Voldemort fled after his defeat of October 31, 1980. He lived there for eleven years, biding his time, waiting to return. He was temporarily "rescued" by Quirrell c. 1990. He returned there until the summer of 1994 when he was again rescued by Wormtail.
Bertha Jorkins' second cousin lives there.

Bulgaria
The Bulgarian National Quidditch team played Ireland for the World Cup in 1994 (GF

France
The Beauxbatons Academy is very likely located in France. (GF

Germany
An illuminated manuscript from Germany c. 962 A.D. showed three warlocks dismounting their broomsticks in pain (QA)
The game of Stichstock originated in Germany c. 1105 and died out in the 1300s. (QA)
The Erlking is native to Germany. Erklings are nasty, vicious beasts which kill children, but killings have decreased dramatically over the last few hundred years as the German Ministry of Magic has put in place strict controls over the creatures. (FB)

Game of Aingingein, played on broomsticks and using a ball called a Dom and a series of flaming hoops, originated in Ireland. (QA)

Norway
The Norwegian Ministry of Magic archives hold a letter describing a form of early Quidditch played in the 1100s.

Scotland
Guthrie Lochrin, in 1107, complained about the discomfort of bromstick-riding after traveling between Montrose and Arbroath. (QA)
The extremely dangerous game of Creaothceann was played in Scotland during the Middle Ages, but was banned in 1762 because of the tremendous number of fatalities. (QA)
Hogwarts is located in Scotland.
Modesty Rabnott's sister Prudence lived in Aberdeen in 1629.
Angus Fleet is a Muggle living in Peebles, a town in Scotland which is on a route between London and Hogwarts; Angus was mystified by a flying Ford Anglia on 1 Sept 1992 (CS5)

A dragon reservation is located between Kopparberg and Arjeplog.
