Folic Acid Deficiency
For the Sake of Women and Children

CDC recommends that all women who are capable of becoming
pregnant take 400 micrograms (0.4 milligrams) of folic acid every day in the form of a multi-vitamin, in addition to food folates  from a varied diet.
.
*Men need  folic acid to maintain integrity of heart, blood vessel walls, and immune systems.  Most all can benefit from intake of more micronutrients such as the antioxidants (vitamin A, C, E, zinc, selenium, etc.) and the family of B vitamins, especially folic acid in a balanced combination with B-6 and B-12. As Harvard Experts and Godfrey P. Oakley, Jr., M.D. of the  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states, "Eat Right and Take a Multivitamin."  (Fletcher RH, 2002).
