“Baby Katherine” 
     Painted during the Trade Center bombing and war that followed.  Mom didn’t know there was going to be a bombing or war--she just requested I paint Katherine in her 4th of July outfit because she liked it so much, and so did her husband.  Turns out everyone started waving flags, and Katherine’s outfit, with the stars and striped sun hat and “Old Navy” teeshirt, will always remind us of the year and month it was painted--September, 2001.
